Graphitic carbon nitride as a material for energy conversion and storage applications

LT thesis proposal

Supervisors: Michele Orlandi & Antonio Miotello

Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) is increasingly studied in the field of energy conversion and storage as a low-cost material providing several useful functions, among which, light-absorption in tandem configurations photoelectrochemical cells and electrode support material in electrochemical cells and batteries. The student will provide a survey of recent literature covering synthesis, characterization and applications of g-C3N4 in the field, with the aim of providing insights and directions for the near future.
